Resources: Design Seeds

I don’t know about you guys, but I SUCK at coming up with a color palette.   I have a color wheel (I am an artist after all) and I know what colors not to put together (red text on a blue background, anyone?).  That’s really about the extent of my color knowledge.   A little over a year ago, one of my fellow designers at the Blog Designer Network mentioned Design Seeds.  A site full of color palettes sounded interesting, so I typed in the URL and I swear the clouds parted and my room filled with the sweet strains of choral music.   Love at first site, soul mates, kindred spirits, whatever you want to call my relationship with Design Seeds, you can.  This site changed my life.

Now you may wonder just how interesting a site full of color palettes can be.  Well let me just tell you.  Remodeling?  Got a wedding coming up?  Graphic design project?  This site has the answer to that age old question: What colors should we use?    My favorite part about the site?  A “Pin it” button for Pinterest on every palette.  Naturally I have a Pinterest board chock full of color palettes now, but it’s a great resource for my clients who are stumped on their color scheme.  Also a great place for me to get all high on colors and zone out.
